The Monseigne moutain has a peak of 1128m and overlooks the Lévézou, the valley of Tarn, the Causses and the Aubrac. On a clear day, the Pyrénées can be seen. From the summit, you can see a protohistoric circular surrounding wall where amphora fragments dated from 1st or 2nd centuries BC were found. This wall was a landmark for astronomers to mesure the meridian.
The Mont Seigne is also a natural environment where you can find peat bogs covered with wild orchids and carnivorous plants, and a preserved ecosystem. He is a sanctuary for ladybirds who appreciate its coolness in summer. That's why «clapas» (artifical shelters for ladybirds) have been installed on its summit, along with explanatory boards.
