Ikalana, the trail of Lévézou (15 August)

Ikalana, the trail of Lévézou This run offers three different routs (33, 22 and 11 km) on a single loop on the plateau of the hills and lakes of Lévézou. The numerous competitors from various horizons cross magnificient landscapes in the heart of the summer, on the 15 of August (bank holiday). Ikalana means in Occitan: « Let's go ! », which sums up the dynamism of the volunteers of the association "Courir en Lévézou" who, each year, set up, with perfect organization, an event which symbolizes the warm welcoming spirit of Aveyron !

The "boucles du Lac" (Loops of the Lake)

ikalana in levezou On the road around the lake of Villefranche-de-Panat, every 4th week-end of May, five footraces are organized by the association "Courir en Lévézou". The « Boucles du Lac » are open to everyone, including children. Your efforts will be rewarded by the organizers' thoughtfulness: it starts with a special breakfast including the local energy cake, the "fouace"; then various supplies along the rout, until the results and rewards ceremony at around midday.

The Rally of Rouergue

rally of rouergue The Rally of Rouergue, created in April 1974, is now part of the French Championship Super 1600 and takes place every year.
In 1981, the rally of Rouergue was included in the new second division championship, and was rewarded 4 years later when it was added to the first division.
Amongst the many legs of this race is the popular special of Alrance, with its famous humpback bridge.
Every year, many experienced competitors participate including Didier Auriol, a child of our region, who won the Rally of Rouergue three times.

"Salon des Activités Physiques de Pleine Nature" in Villefranche de Panat

villefranche de panat This outdoors sports show, created in 2004 in parallel to the Ikalana trail, aims at presenting a variety of outdoors activities.
Open to everyone, every 15th of August, this show introduces green themes such as ‘' water, earth and air ‘'.
Exhibitors come from all over the department allowing you to experience these sports through numerous workshops and booths, supervised by professionals.
This show is a unique opportunity to practice unusual activities without moderation !
