Arvieu, the "fête des estivants", with 15 free street concerts

fête des estivants 3/4/5 August, everyone will enjoy the summer visitors fair in Arvieu. It lasts three days, the highlight being the Saturday evening show. About twenty bands share 5 stages in the village, each with its own theme bar. Try the famous "brochettes de coeurs de canard" (duck hearts on skewers) can be found amongst other local dishes in the 8€ menu.

There are plenty of activities over these three days : fireworks, folklore, shows... great fun for the whole family.

Villefranche de Panat, the "fête du lac"

villefranche de panat The « Fête du Lac » was created more than 30 years ago, in 1970, around the celebration of Bastille Day (14 July). Various shows take place during the day and a dancefloor opens at dusk. Villefranche's villagers are proud of the conviviality and quality of this festival, recognized as the biggest festival in the Midi-Pyrénées region. The last evening of the festival, an intense and spectacular firework display illuminates the Lake and the folk ball.

The sheepdog competition in Ségur (22 July)

sheepdogEach year, in July, Ségur organizes a sheepdog trial: each dog, under their master's orders, has to show their ability to guide a flock of approximately thirty sheep through a trail with obstacles.
This very popular event will make you realise how close a dog and its master can be. Other activities are offered throughout the day : traditional meal, dog shows, craft exhibitions, children's games.
